This news came to a surprise to some local patrons, but Ferg’s LIVE in downtown Tampa Channelside District only signed for a temporary occupancy license, as the property is a part of Jeff Vinik’s downtown development plans.

Ferg’s took to Facebook to confirm the plans to close their doors Sunday, promising that it isn’t the last time they’d raise a glass with Tampa partygoers.

The original Ferg’s location in St Pete, near the Tampa Bay Rays’ baseball stadium, is still up and running and very popular during baseball season.
