TAMPA, Fla – Cynthia Gibson was killed in a car crash on the way to work early Monday morning. Gibson was a well known and respected bus driver for three decades in Hillsborough County.

Cynthia planned to retire this year, marking her 30th year working as a bus driver for the county.

Grief counselors were made available for employees at the district’s transportation department. Cynthia Gibson was known as ‘Ms. Cherry’ and was an advocate for bus drivers being an important part of a young student’s life.
