TAMPA, Florida – Citing insufficient evidence in a notice filed on Friday by the Florida State Attorney’s Office, Hillsborough County prosecutors are dropping pending felony battery charges against singer Chris Brown.

The pop mega-star Chris Brown was arrested in July 2018 as he was exiting the stage at a Palm Beach concert from an alleged incident stemming from over a year before that. Brown was accused of attacking a Channelside nightclub photographer in April 2017 after he performed in Tampa.

According to the Tampa Bay Times Brown’s attorney, Kevin Napper says the pop star had been ‘wrongfully accused and that prosecutors made the right decision’.
