Florida’s malls will begin to reopen this week as the state begins to ease up on restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 spread. Expect to see many changes. Seating will be limited in food courts and play areas will be off-limits. Retailers can open at 25% of their normal capacity starting tomorrow (May 4). Here are the plans when area malls plan to reopen, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
May 4:
Tyrone Square Mall
Tampa Premium Outlets
The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel
May 6:
International Plaza in Tampa
May 15:
Westfield Countryside in Clearwater
Westfield Citrus Park
Westfield Mall in Brandon
Closed until further notice:
Westshore Plaza
Some employees will be required to wear face masks and some retailers within the open malls may remain closed.
