Tampa Mayor Jane Castor spoke about being “optimistic” that our city will be able to host the Super Bowl LV in February 2021.
She told CBS News, “I am very, very optimistic about [the Super Bowl] because we’re going to be making advancements very quickly in the detection of the antibodies, the development of a vaccine. I truly do believe that we will be prepared for the Super Bowl.”
The plans are for Tampa to host Super Bowl LV on Feb. 7, 2021. There are talks of the NFL’s potential plan to move the date of the Super Bowl. Super Bowl brings in 100,000 visitors to stay at hotels each night to the host city.
