We are only two days into hurricane season and we are already seeing our third named storm, Tropical Storm Cristobal. So far this year, Arthur and Bertha have already formed.

Right now the maximum sustained speeds are newer 40 miles per hour.

The forecast is for it to turn west-southwestward or southward at a slower forward speed on Tuesday. It is expected to gradually gain strength over the next couple of days and move further into the Gulf of Mexico.

No watches or warnings have been issued for Florida, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on for our weekend forecasts.

The Hurricane Sales Tax holiday is happening now through June 4th. Now is the time to get prepared for what forecasters are saying is going to be a very active season.
