Following Tampa and many other cities, St. Petersburg is the latest to issue a mandatory face mask order to slow the spread of COVID-19, according to Channel 8.  Mayor Rick Kriseman signed the order tonight. It requires employees and customers of St. Petersburg businesses in any indoor public space to wear a face mask. Tuesday (June 23) at 5 pm is when the order takes effect. Previously businesses had to make sure employees had masks.  The big change here is that customers will need to do so as well. Kriseman does a Facebook Live tomorrow to go into more detail about the order.

The state has now had over 100,000 coronavirus cases. Over 13,000 have been hospitalized. 3,173 have died.
