We’ve entered a new year, but one thing that hasn’t changed is road construction. There will be a closure coming soon, so you may need to know some other routes.
Beginning about 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, all lanes on I-275 at the Howard Frankland Bridge will be closed. The lanes will be reopening around noon on Sunday, January 10.
The Florida Department of Transportation is closing the route to allow them to remove the 4th Street North bridge over the highway.
Information will post the information for alternate routes on overheads signs, but we’ll give you some ideas now. The other two major bridges, the Gandy Bridge and Courtney Campbell Causeway, will each be available each direction. Hillsborough Ave. to Tampa Rd. will also provide a route to Pinellas County, or for those in Pinellas, Tampa Rd. to Hillsborough Ave. will get you to Hillsborough County. If you drive that area, you already know those roads.
????Heads Up!????
