Tampa Bay Today With Shriner

Tropical Storm Elsa makes landfall on July 7, 2021 in Cedar Key, Florida. Storm warnings remain in effect for parts of Florida's west coast as Tropical Storm Elsa made landfall on Wednesday morning. After hitting Cuba on Monday, causing flooding and mudslides, Elsa is expected to bring strong winds and rain as it heads north in the coming days.

Shriner and Pat are in your corner tracking the latest Tropical Storms. Impacting around 10 AM Central yesterday, Fred struck Panama City Beach, which brought mostly water and wind. Shriner’s brother, who runs a store in the area, shut it down, sent the employees home, and waited it out. Moving rather slowly didn’t do much damage. Unfortunately, that is not the last we have heard from tropical storms this season. According to the National Weather Society, Tropical Storm Grace and Tropical Depression 8 are inching closer to Florida. Shriner is also worried about Haiti because they recently were hit by the 7.2 Magnitude earthquake and now have all the rain dumped on them. Thankfully it was mostly just some storm surge and wind, nothing the Florida Man isn’t used to.
