Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 16: U.S. President Joe Biden delivers remarks on the worsening crisis in Afghanistan from the East Room of the White House August 16, 2021 in Washington, DC. Biden cut his vacation in Camp David short to address the nation as the Taliban have seized control in Afghanistan two weeks before the U.S. is set to complete its troop withdrawal after a costly two-decade war.

Schnitt has the latest story on a digital billboard in Willmington, North Carolina. The billboard has two circulating images that rotate frequently. The first one of Joe Biden Eating an Ice Cream Cone superimposed over the evacuation of the embassy in Kabul. The second is of Joe Biden peeking behind the curtains. This, Schnitt believes, was clearly bought to slam the current President over his mishandling of the Afghanistan situation. Schnitt believes it’s pretty accurate that the President is just out doing nothing while Kabul is under siege by the Taliban. Schnitt states there is no better symbolism for the situation. With two images, it’s clear to Schnitt that someone wants to send a message to the current Administration.

Schnitt reading from the local affiliate covering the story says the message is not clear. Schnitt states it can’t be any more clear. The billboard caught the attention of Donald Trump Jr., who went to Instagram and posted his take on it. His post read: “This is apparently a billboard in Wilmington, North Carolina from pics that a buddy sent me. They get it thanks guys hopefully the rest of the world doesn’t have to keep learning the hard way about the Biden administration’s incompetence.” Schnitt laughs at this because it’s not like the Trump administration was forever loop of competence.

The owner of the Billboard, owned by Tedder Outdoor Media,  Donald Tedder, refused to reveal the buyer. It is not the first time this has happened with the billboard, as many opposing factions have bought ad space. Democrats, Republicans even PETA has had advertisement run on this specific billboard. Tedder has stated that this was not his personal ad that he would have posted one praising the President if someone bought the space. Because the purchaser of the ad is not affiliated with any party, Tedder has no obligation to release the buyer’s information.
