Schnitt Show

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 21: U.S. President Joe Biden addresses the 76th Session of the U.N. General Assembly on September 21, 2021 at U.N. headquarters in New York City. More than 100 heads of state or government are attending the session in person, although the size of delegations is smaller due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Schnitt has the recent comments from former President Donald Trump after President Biden gave a speech at the United Nations. During the speech addressing the UN, Biden stated that they would get it under control. The former President has weighed in on the current state of the border, saying it’s an absolute mess. Schnitt believes this is a fair assessment and that it goes beyond being a sore loser, politics, or even just bashing. Trump has equally mocked the pull-out of Afghanistan; while he may have the right to criticize the pull-out, people could argue whether he would have done any better. The former President doesn’t tend to adhere to the courtesies of not attacking sitting presidents as he is own entity, describes Schnitt. Regardless of the courtesy, everyone has been attacking Biden for his gross mishandling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.

With all that is happening at the southern border, Schnitt firmly believes that Trump is justified in slamming the current administration. Schnitt thinks that the Trump era p0licy was much better with turning around and refusing entry to those considered exploiting the system. After Biden was done speaking at the UN, he was confronted by a reporter over the border situation where he was asked if he had it or would get it under control. Biden had to repeat he would get it under control. Schnitt is happy that it seems like Biden is admitting we have a problem and no longer brushing it under the rug.   Even the current cabinet is without blame either, as the current Secretary of Homeland Security stood before the senate to take his verbal lashings from the senators. This is becoming a recurring theme with the current administration.
