Clearwater Police were forced to shut down the right lane on the southbound side of McMullen Booth Road Sunday (September 26) when a big hole opened up. The hole formed on McMullen Booth just north of 580 near Countryside High School, according to a social media post from Clearwater PD. Clearwater Police ask drivers to use caution when passing through the area. The lane is still blocked off this morning (September 27).
Comments from residents on the Clearwater Police Department Facebook page say the hole has been visible for some time but was just much smaller until it opened up this weekend. Check out these photos taken by Officer Prianciani.
