A road Ranger was seriously injured after a driver went around safety cones that were being set up for a previous accident.
Around 2 Am Thursday morning, around mile marker 301 on I-75, a Tractor-Trailer took evasive action to avoid a crash smashing into a concrete wall causing the truck to overturn. No one was seriously injured in this accident. Responding to this accident, the 38-year-old Road Ranger went ahead in setting up a northbound detour at exit 293. However, Florida State Troopers said a 71-year-old man wasn’t paying attention and drove around the traffic cones striking the Ranger.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Road Ranger was airlifted to a nearby hospital later with serious injuries but is reportedly in stable condition.
