Schnitt has paid his respects to the late Colin Powell. A man that blazed a trail through his career in the military and made U.S History by being the first African-American Secretary of State. However, Schnitt recalls how Colin Powell could have become President of the United States with an earlier run against Bill Clinton. In the 1996 run for Presidency, the Republicans had him in mind as the frontrunner. Speculators believe that if he would have ran instead of Bob Dole Bill Clinton would of been a single term president.

Colin Powell has downplayed the reason he chose not to run back in 1996. Collin Powell is believed to have turned down the run because of his wife. His wife Alma had long time issue with depression being diagnosed with clinical depresion. Colin Powell never came out and said that this was issue but Schnitt believes this to be the reason. The amount of scrutiny and pressure the first lady is under on a daily basis, Schnitt believes it would of been even worst for Alma. Putting family first seemed to be a value that Colin Powell held to very dearly.
