Today the House of Representatives voted on the censure of Arizona Representative Paul Gosar. Members of Congress or the House of Represenatives who have been censured are required to give up any committee chairs they hold. When speaking on this, the vote was not out, but according to CSPAN, the vote was 223 to 207, with just two Republicans joining Democrats in favor. Senator Gosar is under fire for a GIF posted on Twitter that showed the Anime “Attack on Titan” scene where a titan is killed. In the scene posted on Twitter, Gosar’s face was posted over the attacker of the titan who had Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (AOC) face on it.

House Democrats said Wednesday that “violence against women in politics is a global phenomenon meant to silence women and discourage them from seeking positions of authority and participating in public life, with women of color disproportionately impacted.”

Schnitt beleieves this to be a unbeleiavbly idiotic move on Gosars part. For a grown man and even more a member of congress to stoop to this level is just in bad taste. Schnitt knows he will take flack for not standing with the Republican Representative, but it doesn’t matter. We have to hold ourselves to a higher standard, Schnitt calls out to listeners. Schnitt would instead move on then break him of his committees, but since the Representative has yet to apologize, there is no path towards redemption.
