It had shaken the internet recently when the CDC came out and shortened the quarantine time from those testing positive with covid. Many people have argued the CDC is selling out the people for profit others are thankful for the change.
The CDC has announced the following changes. First, quarantine time was cut in half from 10 days to 5 days, and this new procedure applies to everyone, children, adults, and the elderly. The CDC now says isolation can end in shorter periods if a few conditions are met. For example, if a person is fever-free for over 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, you are good to go.
The CDC has cited evidence that people with the coronavirus are most infectious two days before they contract and three days after contracting. However, some experts ask why the changes amidst the recent rise with the omicron surge. Tuesday, the CDC posted their reasoning on these changes.
