It’s never easy to tell say these things but the body of the missing National Guard Soldier from Texas has been found. Specialist Bishop E. Evans, 22, went missing Friday after attempting to rescue migrants from the river current at the Texas-Mexico border.
A statement released by Rep. Tony Gonzales said :
“This morning SPC Evans’ body was found and identified by local authorities, this young soldier made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of protecting and serving our country. He will never be forgotten.”
Many Texas officials have reached out in support of the family of SPC. Evans including Texas Governor.

Evans was a field artilleryman from Arlington, Texas, assigned to A Battery, 4-133 Field Artillery Regiment in New Braunfels, Texas. He joined the Texas Army National Guard in May 2019.
