Tampa Weekend Weather Update

Some good news tonight from ABC Action News regarding the weather headed our way this weekend. Denis Phillips says the worst of the weather this weekend should pass to our south. Tropical Cyclone 1 will not be a wind event for us. But we could see some rain… but again, not nearly as much as those south of us will get. Denis says he thinks areas North of I-4 will get next to NO RAIN out of this system. South, will see maybe 1 to 2 inches but the heavy rain should stay WAY to our South.

  One of the sharks from Shark Tank, this 1989 Clearwater High grad must have received a pretty solid business education. The Spanx founder was named one of the most powerful women in the world by Forbes in 2014.

  The actress who played Tina Turner gradauted from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport back in 1976.

  The Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Still, Nash and Young singer and songwriter actually was born in Dallas. He attended Admiral Farragunt Academy in St. Pete and played in th emarching band at Plant High School in Tampa.

  The former WWF champ was part of the Class of 1971 at Robinson High School. These days, Hulk is putting those math skills he learned at Robinson by counting money from that lawsuit and selling memorabilia at his shop on Clearwater Beach.

  You watched her dad for years on Tampa TV news broadcasts. Erin followed the TV career path too after graduating from Bloomingdale High in Valrico in 1996.

  He played for the Rays briefly but is probably better known for his time with the Boston Red Sox. He is a Plant High 1976 grad.

  A 1980 graduate of Chamberlain High School. We sadly lost Shock G (AKA Humpty Hump) last year far too young. "The Humpty Dance" will forever be a Q105 Saturday Night Dance Party favorite.
