With the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, things have been changing quickly. One of the biggest changes is coming to Blue Check verification. This is a checkmark that says you are who you are. Elon’s plan is to turn this into a subscription service for 20$ a month. Well, many of the already confirmed Blue Checks have been not too happy with this decision, but one response from Steven King has garnered a response from the new Twitter owner.
Elon Musk’s response to Steven King on Twitter was funny. He asked if Steven thought 20$ was too much. Elon musk wants to negotiate with the acclaimed author to find a good price for everyone.

Musk believes the platform can not survive on ad revenue alone in its current state. Elon has stated that he plans to explain the rationale behind this choice before implementing the change. Musk has already directed employees to start working on this process or get fired. Musk is trying to turn a profit on the company that has reported a net loss of $270 million, which is a massive loss compared to the $66 Million in profit from the year before. [Source NY Post]
