Artem Lobov celebrates with his coach after his big victory over boxing legend Paulie Malignaggi at BKFC

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship garnered the most attention of the month for a fight event, across all promotions and different combat sports. The event far beyond lived up to its hype. It all started Thursday with a press conference in Brandon, Florida, followed by the official weigh-in ceremony on Friday evening, all leading up to the big fight on Saturday night at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

BKFC initially sold out the Entertainment Building at the Fairgrounds which holds over 4,000 people; this caused them to move to the Expo Center which has a far larger capacity, and Tampa showed out.

I was lucky enough to have full access to all events, including ringside seats inside of the security barrier. I was seated next to the Florida State Boxing Commission, to give you an idea of how close I was to the action. The seats me and my assistant Marcel were in for the biggest fight of the summer were not for purchase, they were for official use only. Hosting and covering combat sports has finally paid off!

Here’s a gallery to take you through some of the great moments I experienced at BKFC on June 22 in Tampa. Bare Knuckle FC is headed to Miami in October and Orlando in November. For info check out BareKnuckle.tv.
